To them, of course, I am hugely indebted.\u201d He added that doctors have assured him his recovery will be \u201ccomplete and speedy,\u201d and he looks forward to returning to work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-ast-global-color-8-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-1b4495a89bf7494736d32125d12118c0\">According to reports from the BBC, the incident occurred while McKellen was performing as John Falstaff. During a battle scene involving co-star Toheeb Jimoh, McKellen reportedly lost his balance and fell from the front of the stage into the orchestra pit. Audience members initially believed the fall was part of the production before realizing something was wrong.
